D-Link Routers

[Important before you start]

Open your web browser and go to this web page Current Hyas DNS Server List

Please record the 2 nearest DNS addresses from your physical location.

 

STEP 1

Open a Browser and enter your router’s IP address. By default the address for a D-Link router is http://192.168.0.1

 

STEP 2

You should now be prompted to enter your router’s username and password. Enter “admin” in the User Name field. The password field should be kept BLANK. (these credentials should work if you haven't changed them yourself)

 

STEP 3

Now you should select "Manual Configure " in the Internet Connection Page.

 

STEP 4

Under Advanced DNS Service, uncheck / turn off "Enable Advanced DNS Services"

 

STEP 5

In the Primary and Secondary Address fields, enter our DNS addresses you recordered earlier, (Remember, choose the DNS servers physically closest to you)

 

STEP 6

Click on the “Save Settings” button on the top of the page and restart your Computer.

 

STEP 7

Open up your browser and go to https://borderlessinternet.com to see if your service is active.

If DNS is correctly configured on the device, our website will display a message on the bottom right corner saying "DNS is properly configured for this IP"

 

Tips that may apply to your specific model:

  1. Each D-Link model may have a slightly different interface. Also check your router if you have the option available below, and MAKE SURE to disable them:
  2. Disable "Auto DNS" for D-Link DIR-655
  3. Disable "Enable DNS Relay" for D-Link DIR-605L
